A Message from the Dean

Welcome to Shulamith High School of Brooklyn!

I could spend days talking about our outstanding academics, our brilliant teachers, the plethora of extracurriculars we offer, and how our school feeds into the best universities and seminaries… However, right here, right now, I want to focus on truly the most important thing at Shulamith: our girls.

The girls that come into our school are ambitious, hard-working, and above all, the epitome of Bnot Yisrael. Shulamith girls are high achievers, and they push themselves to be their very best, whatever they do in life.

And that’s exactly what we help them achieve.

At Shulamith, we give our girls every possible opportunity to nurture those innate traits.

All four years of high school, we bring in speakers to talk with the girls about various industries, careers, passions, and skills. Our girls love it! In this exciting way, we’re able to introduce our girls to the wide array of opportunities that life has to offer.

We don’t stop there. When our girls come to us with even a glimmer of something they might be interested in, we jump on it. Myself, the faculty, the teachers- we talk with the girls, we discuss, and we make it happen. We get them the club, the mentor, the internship- whatever they need to get hands-on experience and find their true passions.

By the time our 12th graders graduate, they’ve explored and actively engaged in countless different extracurricular and professional activities. By the time our 12th graders graduate, they know exactly what they want to do in life and exactly who they want to be.

At Shulamith, we don’t just educate our girls. We set them up for success.

I invite you to look around our website, come in for a tour, and see for yourself how Shulamith girls are incredible.

A Message from the Principal

Dear Parents and Students,

It is our pleasure to welcome you to our SHS of Brooklyn. Shulamith is a place of warmth and sincerity that will embrace your daughter in all aspects of her educational, spiritual and emotional growth. We will open the doors of her heart with love and sensitivity. With our traditional high school curriculum in both Judaic and General Studies, we foster an environment that allows our students to reach their highest potential. Our educational philosophy is the focus on the total person; a Shulamith graduate radiates a confidence, a pride in her heritage, wholesome, sensitive, articulate and motivated. She has received an excellent education that will facilitate her future success as a productive member of ישראל כלל.

We provide the tools your daughters need to maintain their commitment to תורה while simultaneously engaging in the world around them. The students learn that the Torah values are uncompromising and to assess the secular world by those standards.

What makes Shulamith different from all the other high schools? Shulamith is a family where your daughter is precious and valued for who she is as a member of our family. As in any family, the parents nurture, encourage, guide, and advise each child according to her specific needs. Our Rebbeim, mechanchot and teachers are highly experienced, and they strive to bring out the best in each and every student.

We look forward to greeting you and having you experience a taste of Shulamith.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Rochelle Hirtz
